For those who enjoy the countryside there is lots to do from cycle rides to walks along the many bridle and public paths that lead you though some of the most wonderful countryside.
The spectacular Wolds Way is nearby and on a clear day you can see for miles.
With many scenic roads and lanes and beautiful countryside your car journeys will show you a part of Yorkshire you will want to explore.
City Day Trips
The historic cities of York, and Hull both make great days out for all the family.
York with its Viking centre and many city attractions both sight seeing and shopping.
Hull a city ofton discounted as a tourist spot but don't be fooled, the old town has some wonderful buildings and shops and the most impressive aquariums called The Deep. A city steeped in its fishing history.
From Coast to Stately Homes
For those away days the coast is within easy distance by car, or the stately homes of Castle Howard, Sledmere and Burton Angus each with beautiful houses and spectacular gardens.
Nearer to home is the wonderful town of Beverley with its race course and the Westwood an open space to walk and enjoy the views over to the Beverley Minister.
The wolds are full of characterful market towns and villages,all busy with their own style of shops and cafes.

We had a marvellous holiday here, each evening was a real treat returning to the cottage. This cottage is the most comfortable, prettiest cosiest self catering accommodation in which we have stayed.

Delightful cottage,we enjoyed our stay and loved the peaceful bridle paths that took us into the open countryside.
This cottage does Christmas ,it was cosy and warm with beautiful natural christmas decorations of holly and a real tree .
The photos do not do this cottage justice as to its beautiful rural character ,we so enjoyed our stay ,we booked again.
